Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@northwestforestry.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Forestry mulching is a land clearing method that uses a single machine to cut, grind and clear vegetation like trees, brush, overgrown vegetation and stumps.

We offer a variety of  land clearing services including:

  • Removal of trees, dense underbrush and overgrowth to prep your land for your dream home
  • Overgrown blackberry bush removal
  • Wildfire mitigation
  • Thinning of densely packed tree growth to promote overall tree health
  • Helping reclaim your property through the removal of overgrown vegetation and unwanted trees

  • One step process. Forestry mulching combines cutting, grinding, and clearing into a single step with one machine. This allows for more efficient land clearing, reducing amount the of equipment required as well as decreasing  time and labor.
  • Environmentally friendly. Unlike traditional land clearing, there is no burning or hauling away of debris therefore reducing carbon footprint. Mulching leaves behind organic mulch that decomposes naturally and helps protect wildlife habitats.
  • Controls erosion and improves soil health. Forestry mulching minimizes soil disturbance protecting tree roots & natural ecosystems. Mulching leaves behind a natural "blanket" that helps retain moisture.  Additionally,  the mulch slowly adds nutrients back into the soil as it breaks down aiding in new growth and helping to restore previously nutrient depleted trees.
  • Targeted vegetation removal allowing clearance of invasive species, underbrush and tree overgrowth while minimizing impact to remaining vegetation.
  • Is better for the land as traditional land clearing can lead to soil compaction, root damage, and increased runoff. Mulching leaves the topsoil mostly intact, helps the land recover faster, and reduces risk of longterm landscape damage.

Northwest Forestry is a locally owned and operated business.  We are a husband and wife team dedicated to serving our local and surrounding communities. We strive for customer satisfaction and making a positive environmental impact.
